I had been working on maximum throughput you expect from an Ethernet link and while inspecting tcp/ip packets I reviewed the protocol which appeared to have some overhead that will in fact be reported as network utilisation but higher protocol at application layer will not report as much as the network device will be reporting. I also came across this article and must say it is an excellent insight to udp and tcp protocols running on ethernet or fast ethernet copper. I often find large libraries of files specially Music collected from here and there and has names in various forms and specially when all in UPPERCASE it just fills up your player display and becomes annoying. I have written a quick bash script to rename any file names in any level of subdirectories to the Proper title case so anything with "File Name.TXT" or FILE NAME.TXT" or "filE NaME.tXt" will simply be renamed to "File name.txt". Today I got a chance to update my ESXi v5.5 with patch released by VMware so wanted to put quick notes for anyone who may need help in patching their ESXi standalone host for openssl vulnerability.
